Where your question goes.
Reading examples requires no account. Starting an analysis sends your question to external providers. Avoid confidential or identifying information.

Recorded analyses are public. Crux does not add advertising or analytics. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes connection information to serve and secure requests. Opening an external source takes you to that publisher, under its own privacy policy.
Starting an analysis
Your browser coordinates the run. Requests go through the Crux server to Google Gemini or Mistral for model generation through a free-tier fallback chain and, when web research is enabled, Tavily for search. Search queries can contain details derived from your question. Provider keys remain on the server.
The current service uses accounts with paid billing disabled. When free quotas are exhausted, live analysis stops rather than using a paid provider. Each live run records model attribution per response. Submitted text may be used for model training or reviewed by people under the provider's terms. Do not submit private, identifying, or urgent personal information.
Cloudflare Turnstile loads a third-party script on live intake pages for bot protection. Start limits use counters keyed by a salted hash of the connection's IP address. The application does not store the raw IP in those counters.
Browser copies
Drafts and run events are stored in this browser's local storage. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to read them. A /live?run=… link only opens a copy already present in this browser: it is not a public sharing link. Storage can be cleared or become full. Export important work.
Closing or reloading the tab interrupts an active analysis. Restoring its saved events does not restart provider requests. Use This browser to reopen, export, or delete local copies.
Account copies
An account stores your email, a password hash, account timestamps, authentication records, and the runs you elect to save. Signed-in sessions use an HttpOnly cookie. Saved runs require account authorization to access; they are not publicly listed. Site administrators and infrastructure providers may have operational access. This is not end-to-end encrypted storage.
Email password recovery requires a configured mail provider. Availability is shown before registration and on the reset page. Keep exports of important analyses.
Deleting
Deleting a local copy removes it from this browser only. Deleting a saved account run removes its application database records. Deleting the account removes its saved runs and authentication records. These actions do not retract requests already sent to model or search providers, or guarantee immediate removal from infrastructure backups and logs.
Crux does not sell your questions or publish account runs. External processing described above is necessary for live analyses.
